Reflection

At the beginning of the school year I was pretty excited for my multimedia class. I loved looking at what some of my friends who previously took this class did on their websites and knew I wanted to create something like they did. That excitement turned into loving this class this school year.

Starting out taking pictures I didn’t know the specifics of photography. Whenever I pulled my phone out I wasn’t paying attention to angles, lighting, background objects in the frame. All I wanted was to simply capture the main subject. Now that has completely changed. I always have my gridlines on my phone camera to make sure everything is centered and leveled, I take multiple pictures, change angles, and find the right lighting. There’s definitely been some challenging parts to photography like taking lots of time to capture the right shot.

Along with challenging parts to this class was using Adobe applications. Even though it was challenging this was my favorite part of the class. I didn’t know anything about Photoshop and it took me a while to learn how to work it and I’m still learning now. I use Photoshop as a tool to touch up my photos or create different projects for this class and others. I also got to play around with After Effects and Animation. There’s so much creative freedom in this class and these apps help you create what you envision.
